Digitimes, one of the credible Apple news sources, has once again come up with an interesting iPhone 5 news. In today’s report, they have reported that the next iPhone will have dual LED flash support, which can be used to take more effective and detailed pictures from the camera.
Dual LED Flash in iPhone 5
Although there is still no confirmation on the name of production company, Taiwan-based LED packaging firms Everlight Electronics, Edison Opto and Lite-On Technology are being considered as potential suppliers of these Apple products. However, these companies have denied all these rumors saying that they don’t have not involved in any such production work.
Citing the industry rumors, Digitimes sources said that Apple has *switched the orders* -
The rumors come amid market reports indicating that Apple reduced its orders for Lumileds high-power LED flash products from Philips recently and switched the orders for LED flashes to Taiwan makers.
On the basis of these rumors, it would be difficult to confirm the existence of dual LED flash camera in iPhone 5. Since last few months, many Apple sources have been claiming that iPhone 5 will get a higher resolution 8-megapixel camera. If we believe on those earlier reports, it could also be possible that new iPhone will boast dual LED flash along with a high-end camera.
Well, these are just speculations, as we don’t have any official confirmation on these reports. Apple may launch iPhone 5 in August or September, and that’s when we will get to know the real information. Anyway, enjoy your daily dose of Apple rumors. ;)
