It’s been quite a while since we heard anything about Nokia’s Windows Phone plans, but now you don’t have to wait anymore. Nokia CEO Stephen Elop has unofficially unveiled the first Windows Phone running device made by the company.

In an internal meeting, Elop showcased a new Windows Phone mobile, codenamed Sea Ray, to the company’s employees. Although it was a confidential announcement, someone has managed to shoot an exclusive video of Nokia’s first Windows Phone device. Here’s how it looks -

You might get surprised, as its design closely resembles the much talked about Nokia N9 phone. Nokia is reportedly planning to release this phone by the end of this year, which probably means that it will run on Windows Phone 7.5 Mango firmware. Nokia’s first Windows Phone mobile will have some more cool features -

This Sea Ray phone has a beautiful design, gorilla glass, pillow shaped backing and Carl Zeiss 8MP camera, Elop described.

Is it a deliberate leak?

As you can see in above video, Nokia CEO didn’t want this “super confidential” news to leak out in blogosphere, but it’s kind of funny to see that company’s CEO unveiling a secret product and also allowing employees to carry video capturing devices in the presentation room. Perhaps, he knew that someone will post an image or video of this new Windows Phone device on the internet and will eventually get great publicity from tech bloggers and news sites.
